Put An End To Annoying Allergy Symptoms.

When the weather is nice, you may be tempted to open the windows in your home to save money on cooling costs. However, this can cause your allergies to flare up. Before going to sleep, showering and washing your hair is a good idea. Pollen accumulates on your body and in your hair during the day, and could cause an allergic reaction as you try to sleep. A quick rinse before bed can make a big difference in your life.

Dust mites are a very difficult allergen to control. Dust mites thrive in the bedroom. They feed on dead skin cells found mostly on pillows and mattresses. They can't be seen easily, but they are there and contribute to allergies for some people. To combat these nuisances, encase mattresses and pillows in special zippered mattress covers and pillow cases. Be sure to wash the covers on a regular basis, in the hot water cycle.

If you experience your allergy symptoms like clockwork, watch that clock. Pollen is most terrible between 5 and 10 a.m., and if possible, do not leave your home during these times. If you have to leave your home, don't do any vigorous activity.

To avoid at least one source of allergy attacks, keep your car clean, and closed! Keeping all windows closed and using the air-conditioner will help keep out the pollen and also other allergens. Vacuum the interior of the car on a regular basis. This can lessen your allergy problems.

If you have allergies, try to limit your exposure to allergens that affect you. For example, dust allergies are less likely to flare up if you remove all traces of dust from your home. If your pets cause you trouble, you may need to find them new homes or at least keep them clean and brushed all the time. You can also reduce the amount of pet dander in your home by regularly dusting and vacuuming.

Bathrooms should be kept sparkling. A lot of mold can build in your bathroom becoming a hazard for you. Clean shower stalls using a mixture of equal parts bleach and water to remove mold. That way, it is possible to prevent the growth of mold in the first place, which can exacerbate existing allergies.

Take the trash out. Garbage can attract all sorts of pests. Many people suffer allergic reactions from rodent droppings. If moving your trash outside doesn't solve your rodent problems, it might be a good idea to use traps to address the issue. If you do not find success, think about poison.

Try not to open windows during hours in which pollen is high. It is important to get fresher air circulating through your home, but do it when pollen counts are lowest. The worst times are between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm. Wait till after these times to open the windows and air out the house.
